About

The person behind the practice.

A medical student who went through the cycle recently and wants to make the process less opaque for others.

Hi — I'm the founder of Talcott Ridge Advising.

I applied to medical school in the 2026 cycle and secured 10 MD interviews and 5 acceptances. I'm now a first-year medical student at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where I'm a full-tuition Dean's Scholarship recipient.

I started Talcott Ridge because I'd rather share the knowledge I gained in my experience and the experience of many others online openly than put it behind a $5,000 paywall such that anyone can access it. Medical school application Sankey diagram

What I can and can't offer

What I bring

Recent cycle experience. Familiarity with current AMCAS nuances. Honest (sometimes too much) feedback without a financial incentive to tell you what you want to hear.

What I can't offer

Guaranteed outcomes. Admissions committee insider knowledge. The bandwidth of a full-time firm. Unlimited availability — I'm a medical student first, and this practice reflects that honestly.
